Responding to a tweet about how Buddy's hairstylist is soon moving out of town, the Mayor of Orlando decided to dig deep into his personal archives and attach a photo of himself sporting an incredibly robust and beefy afro.

It's unclear exactly when this photo was taken. Maybe he's in college? Maybe he was just a huge 7th grader? It's hard to say.
Just look at this photo. I mean, really look at it. It's amazing how his hair connects all the way down to his chin, like some sort of fuzzy motorcycle helmet. In some ways it looks like the hair is not actually attached to his head, like his face was grafted to a microphone, or a clown nose.
Look even closer. There appears to be a little flip in the back. At this point, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a little hidden ponytail tucked away back there.
Just chalk this up as one of the many many looks of Buddy.

According to the mayor's press secretary Cassandra Lafser, the hair is in fact very real. No perm. "It was his natural hair at the time," said Lafser in an email.
What a time to be alive.
