Yesterday, Zagat released its survey of more than 9,000 diners all over the country, and some of the results are pretty interesting regarding the state of American dining.

In Orlando, we've reported on the changes in the restaurant scene in this town (how many more charcuterie platters can one town stand for?), and it looks like similar trends are fading out all over the country too.

Bye-bye, Mason jar cocktails. Hello, avocado toast.

While Orlando wasn't directly mentioned in the boiled-down results of the survey, you can interpolate yourself where we might stand in the ratings, and even identify with many yourself.

Do you pick up the phone and call for a reservation? (44 percent of diners still do.)

Is a cash-only policy your No. 1 deal-breaker when dining out? (Most of the respondents agree.)

Zagat posted this catchy little video breaking down the main points of interest in their survey and it's worth taking a look.
