Brian Kilmeade has a solution for keeping our beaches safe. Kilmeade, a Fox News host and dispenser of inane chatter, wondered out loud on Monday's episode of Fox & Friends, why sharks aren't simply cleared from the ocean.

According to Raw Story (who, apparently were the only ones watching the June 20 episode), Kilmeade's shark-removal epiphany came about after a video made the web rounds of professional surfer Mick Fanning getting attacked by a shark at the 2015 J-Bay Open in South Africa.

“You would think that they would have a way of clearing the waters before a competition of this level, but I guess they don’t,” dispensed Kilmeade.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck agreed, and also pointed out that “If a three-time world champion surfer isn’t safe, who is? The shark should be afraid of him."
