The British are coming, the British are coming ... to Florida, that is.
British comedians John Cleese and Eric Idle will make a stop in Orlando this fall as part of their touring show,
John Cleese & Eric Idle: Together Again at Last … For the Very First Time.
In the new show, Cleese and Idle will "blend scripted and improvised bits with storytelling, musical numbers, exclusive footage, aquatic juggling and an extended audience Q&A to craft a unique comedic experience with every performance" (according to the press release).
The duo's history goes back to the 1960s, when they joined the British comedy group
Monty Python.
Cleese went on to star in the 1970s hit
Monty Python and the Holy Grail and has since had roles in
3rd Rock from the Sun and
Will & Grace.
In 1975, Grammy- and Tony award-winner Idle created the Broadway hit
Spamalot, a musical based off
Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
You can see Cleese and Idle in the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center at 7:30 p.m Saturday, Oct. 17.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 19, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts,
