R.I.P. Alice Coltrane

Less than a month after James Brown hit the heavens, the spiritual tidal wave known as Alice Coltrane also departed this plane. The 69-year-old widow of John Coltrane had recently become re-engaged in the music community, performing with son Ravi. She died of respiratory failure over the weekend.
