Review - A Lifetime of More split EP

Artist: The Album Leaf/On!Air!Library!

Not sure when 42 minutes became an "EP," but the wispy ethereality of the six tracks on this disc sure do breeze by with the insouciance of a good old fashioned 45. Tristeza's Jimmy LaValle as The Album Leaf further explores his inner Eno with a triptych of warbly keyboard washes that bleed seamlessly into one another, leaving only delicate tracers in their wake. On Air Library is an actual band, and as such, their three contributions to "A Lifetime of More" have a more practical solidity to them. Airy, chamber-pop electro-constructions with Robin Guthrie-styled sweeping guitars and actual vocals add extra pretentiousness -- which, in case you didn't know, is a good thing.
