Oh, thank the honeyed folk gods for the NPR darling from Austin, Texas, Shakey Graves. His music’s so soft and weathered, existing in that sonic sweet spot where Elvis Perkins and the Bonnie Prince himself choose to dwell. Shakey Graves is the music you’d play throughout your whole house on a day spent luxuriating in your own space. And it’s there, with a leg slung over the side of your couch and your eyes closed, that you actually hear the lyrics to “Georgia Moon” off 2011’s Roll the Bones and become lightheartedly introspective. It will be interesting to contrast his set with He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister, the wild garage-country band that features a party-starting tap dancer as a serious part of their percussion section. Heaped on top of that, you also get to see darling locals the Sh-Booms plus Colorado indie-folk band Paper Bird. Slow clap, Peacock, for an incredible lineup. – Ashley Belanger
