What the cuss?! The planetarium is inviting everyone out for a night of stargazing, food trucks and short films, and they’re providing the telescopes for you. We all know that astronomers in Central Florida have the dual challenge of gazing from sea level and being in an area where cloudy days are kind of the norm. But, we’re optimistic that the stars will align for the festival (no, not literally), and the promised viewing of Jupiter, Andromeda and a clustercuss of stars and nebulae will go off without a hitch on Thursday. Also neat: If you own a telescope and aren’t sure how to use it, you’re encouraged to bring it so experts can help you figure out your instrument. Bring a blanket, a thermos of hot toddy and some friends, but remember: When you’re looking through the telescope, it’s only you beneath the moon. – Ashley Belanger
