(2010-123829) 8:59 p.m.: A resident in the 4000 block of Kirkland Boulevard saw a shadow creeping past his window and went out to discover that someone had stolen a lawnmower from his shed. The Shadow mows!

March 16

(Kissimmee PD): A teacher at Cypress Elementary School noticed that one student had badly bruised knees. and asked why. Turns out that a man — a friend of the child's parent — was mad that the boy got a "sad face" on the day's school paper, so he made the six-year-old kneel on bottle caps. The man now has a sad face, sitting in Osceola County Jail on child abuse and domestic violence charges.

March 17

(2020-126528) 10:35 a.m.: A cabdriver met Luis the Unfriendly Ghost at Tour-O-Tel Motel on Givens Street. "Luis" and "Ghost" are apparently nicknames for the heavily tattooed man who tried and failed to buy drugs on Livingston Street, then robbed the cabdriver.

March 18

(OCSO) 10:30 a.m.: When a woman heard by text message that her daughter was going to get "jumped" by other girls at Oak Ridge High School, she rounded up relatives and waited in the parking lot. Deputies arrested the woman after she joined the fight even as school administrators tried to break it up.

March 19

(2010-130049) 2 a.m.: What's that? Accept a ride from three strangers at 2 a.m.? Sure, what could go wrong? Well, after you leave Club Tabu they could pull a gun, take $500 from your bank account, get your watch, iPhone, and even your shirt and shoes, then toss you out of the car at North Orange Blossom Trail and West Washington Street.

(2010-130994) 9:18 p.m.: A man went into two apartments in the 4700 block of Cason Cove Drive and refused to leave. He did make it as far as the parking lot before police arrested him.

March 20

(2010-131567) 3:30 a.m.: A guy said he was driving a homeless man around the central and west parts of town "purchasing and using illegal narcotics" when the homeless guy hinted that he was armed. The driver got scared and bailed at Bethune Drive and Rogers Drive, but his newly envehicled stoner friend was soon caught.

(2010-131603) 4:23 a.m.: A man was standing around at Lake Mann Garden Apartments on South Ivey Lane when two men and two women pulled up in a car. One guy got out waving a gun, and mugged the man for $6. Apparently unsatisfied, he shot the man in the right hip before getting back in the car and leaving.

(2010-131503) 8:30 a.m.: A man picked up for DUI complained of chest pains and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but while there "battered" the cop and was charged for that too.

(2010-131836) 9:30 a.m.: Gotcha Creative Media got gotten by someone who got into the business on Parkway Center Court and got away with $7,600 in photographic equipment.

(2010-131881) 10:25 a.m.: Somebody pried the side door of a house in the 200 block of North Mills Avenue and took a 9 mm handgun, $3,900 in various items and $30,000 in jewelry.

(2010-132270) 4:50 p.m.: Two guys in a white pickup pulled up to Burger King on South Semoran Boulevard, pointed a gun at the manager and robbed her. "Have it your way" isn't supposed to go quite that far.

March 21

(OCSO): Deputies responded to numerous shots fired from a house in the 7500 block of Pacific Heights Circle. An elderly woman and four men came out, the last of which was charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder of law enforcement officers and shooting at an aircraft.

(2010-133120) 3:46 a.m.: A woman and her boyfriend were in a car in the 1000 block of East Central Boulevard when a man leaned in the window and grabbed her purse. He dropped it when her boyfriend objected and the righteously enraged lover gave chase. Police caught the man nearby, and he was apparently so shaken that he confessed to several other thefts too.

(2010-133333) 8 a.m.: A man had his pickup stolen from Camden Lee Vista Apartments for the second time in a week.

(2010-133756) 4:30 p.m.: It's hard to get more brazen than whoever swiped a semiautomatic pistol from the Central Florida Gun Show at the fairgrounds on West Colonial Drive while the dealer was distracted by paying customers.

(2010-133817) 5:45 p.m.: A man went to meet a not-so-friendly acquaintance at Timber Sound Apartments on Raleigh Street, but wound up getting robbed.

(2010-133828) 5:50 p.m.: Four guys shot at two others in the 800 block of West Robinson Street. One of the intended targets called police and identified a suspect, but the other — apparently wounded — ran all the way to Ocala before going to the doctor.

March 22

(2010-134443) 2:20 a.m.: Two guys began arguing with a couple in Jax 5th Avenue Deli & Ale House on Edgewater Drive and wound up hitting them over the head with chairs.
