A sprawling horse farm in Tarpon Springs is now on the market, and it comes with its own private lake stocked with fish.
Located at 3225 Keystone Rd., the 37-acre estate is called "Serella Stables," and features a 7,800 square-foot main house, a four-car detached garage, a two-story maintenance building with an elevator, and a barn with eight horse stables.
The main house features four bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as a wine cellar, a gym, a library, an outdoor kitchen, and a 7,000 square-foot wrap-around terrace. The property also sports a riding arena, two pastures and its own "Lake Ella," which according to the listing is stocked with fish, has an aeration system, and has a Trex covered dock with electricity. "It's just a special place. Honestly, a lot of thought goes into everything he does. "It's just a beautifully constructed and maintained property, says the listing agent Diane Swainston of Premier Sotheby's International Realty. "It's unusual, you have all that anonymity out there, but yet your'e also close to civilization."
The property, which was completed in 2019, is currently asking $6,200,000.
But if you want to view it, be prepared to prove you can afford it. According to property records, the current owner is William Baumgart, who, according to the Tampa Bay Times, was wrapped up in one of the area's most bizarre real estate fiascos of 2019, where he had to refund a potential buyer $300,000 just to "get out of my life."
That home, which is just down the road from "Serella Stables," eventually sold a few months later for $10 million, and at the time was the fifth largest sale ever in the bay area.
Baumgart sold his Clearwater-based TransContinental Title Company for an undisclosed sum in 2006.
