As part of the Art &History Museums – Maitland's monthlong Art31 event, local muralist Andrew Spear painted a Mayan-esque design (inspired by the Maitland Art Center's own Mayan Revival stonework) on a donated car. The A&H Art Car will travel around for the rest of the month, promoting the event and artistic expression and collaboration in general. These photos are from the Art Car Reveal Party, March 9 at the center. The event included music from DJ Nigel, snacks and a talk on creativity given by the artist himself. The Art31 celebration continues through the end of March, with a different art-centric event each day.
