The City Beautiful is home to several public pools to keep you cool in your time of need. Some are open all year and others opened this June and will stay open until Labor Day.

You can go tubing in places like Kelly Park and Ichetucknee. It's an experience like riding down a lazy river but in real life. Tuesdays have $8 all you can bowl as well as $8 PBR buckets, and weekdays have $2.25 games from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. On Wednesdays at 9 p.m.m there are colored pin heads you can strike for a free, cold beer, which should help with the heat.

Take a break from the heat and cooking and enjoy home-style buttermilk biscuits at Se7enbites Bake Shop or an egg white fritatta at Hamilton's kitchen.
