If you're currently enrolled at UCF, this fall may be your best opportunity to play Division 1 football.

The 0-12 UCF football program has announced walk-on tryouts for August 23. The tryouts will begin at noon at the Nicholson Fieldhouse. Hopeful players will need to have all paperwork filled out and submitted at a August 22 orientation meeting held inside the Waynes Densch Sports Center football office building on N. Orion Boulevard.

Beyond the requisite paperwork, some of the materials you'll need to bring are:
  • Sickle cell test results
  • Proof of physical within the last six months
  • Copy of your insurance card (front and back)
  • Copy of current class schedule
  • Transcript
Considering the Knight's abysmal 0-12 record last season, it seems as if the team is looking to recruit new blood from anywhere they can. So even if you've spent the last few years living on a consistent diet of Mountain Dew, hot pockets and basic lard, you still have a a decent chance of realizing your dream of playing college football.

And even if you don't get a lot of play time, the away games this year are held in Michigan, Miami, Connecticut, Texas and more, so at least you'll be getting some free road trips.
