Police say an Orlando International Airport employee was caught red-handed when he tried to steal a passenger's cash on Thursday.

WESH 2 reports Kathleen Duddleston, a passenger at OIA, was going through security when she was pulled aside for a patdown, according to an Orlando Police report. As she received the patdown, she notified Michelle Metz, the officer giving the patdown, that she couldn't see her bags. When Metz moved her closer, she noticed TSA officer Alexander Johnson standing by her luggage.

When she went to get her bags, she noticed that her money was gone. Duddleston saw a bulge in Johnson's shirt pocket and asked him if that was her money, to which he replied that it was from a bank, the report said.

Police say Duddleston told Metz the money was missing and that it was in Johnson's pocket. Surveillance video showed Johnson taking the money from her bag and placing it in his pocket. Police arrested Johnson on grand theft charges.

"TSA has a zero tolerance for misconduct in the workplace," TSA spokeswoman Sari Koshetz told WESH 2. "The TSA immediately reported the allegation to OPD and we aggressively investigated the incident with our law enforcement partner."
