The wonderful thing about Tigger

For the second time in almost three years a costumed Tigger at Disney is accused of behaving badly with children. This time itâ??s a 31-year-old Disney employee named Michael J. Fedelem whoâ??s been banished from The Happiest Place on Earth for allegedly smacking Jerry Monaco Jr., 14, in the head Jan. 5 while his family was videotaping. Last time, back in February 2004, Michael Chartrand, 38, was accused of groping and fondling a mother and daughter while suited up as Tigger. A grand jury later acquitted Chartrand and he went back to work.

Regardless of the outcome of this latest case, one thing is clear: Disney employees playing Tigger need to learn to work the suit. A former employee who used to attend the legendary cast parties, where the booze would flow and the tongues would wag, tells us that the Tigger suit is uniquely capable of â??accidentallyâ? thumping snotty little guests by dint of its very springy tail. (That's why Tiggers bounce, don't you know.) All you have to do is position yourself correctly, then wheel around suddenly to get that tail whipping. Tiggers are enthusiastic, so sudden movements are completely in character. Think Eeyore could get away with this shit? Think again.

So remember this line, Tiggers: â??The wonderful thing about Tigger is Tigger

can slap the little bastards in the face!â?
