The NFL announced that Super Bowl 54 (LIV) in 2020 will be hosted in none other than the New Miami Stadium in South Florida.

ESPN reports the championship game will be returning to Florida for the first time since 2010. What's more is the 2020 game will be taking place during the NFL's 100-year anniversary.

The South Florida Super Bowl Bid Committee is preparing for the occasion in style, as outlined in their 526-page bid, the city plans to host a week-long centennial celebration during Super Bowl LIV centered in the Super Bowl Park in downtown, spreading from Biscayne Boulevard to the Perez Art Museum.

The news comes as validation for Dolphins owner Steve Ross, whose $450 million investment into renovating the temporarily-titled New Miami Stadium is being seen as the deciding factor to host the 2020 game in South Florida after several failed bids, according to the Sun-Sentinel

This will also be the 11th time Florida's been home to the Super Bowl, officially breaking the 10-game tie with New Orleans.

The 2019 and 2021 Super Bowls will be held in Atlanta and Los Angeles, respectively.
