As attorney Scott Gabrielson settles into his new City Hall job this week, consider Mayor Glenda Hood's self-assured leadership style in bringing him on board as a part-time, $150,000 public employee. A welcome and congratulations to Gabrielson was printed in the City Hall newsletter, City Hallways, which went to press in late January - almost two weeks before the actual vote by the Orlando City Council that approved Gabrielson to replace retiring City Attorney Bob Hamilton.
