The owner of the gay nightclub Pulse, where 49 people were killed in the largest mass shooting in modern American history, says she's looking for a new location.

Though no exact spot has been identified, a spokesperson for Pulse owner Barbara Poma told the Orlando Sentinel that she is actively looking for a new location for the club in either the central or urban Orlando area.

Poma spoke with WFTV today, saying she hopes to reopen the club in a new area because not only does it fill a community need, but because she doesn't want to "let hate win."

Poma also told the station that she still returns to the now closed Pulse nightclub (1912 S. Orange Ave) twice a week.

The first town-hall meeting for a Pulse memorial is on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Orlando Repertory Theater, 1001 E. Princeton St.
