The Orange County School Board convened to another room full of hot-under-the-collar anti-maskers on Tuesday. The temperature of the room wasn't helped at all by one of the items on the agenda, a consideration of whether to terminate an employee who refused to follow the district's mask guidelines.

The tense crowd, barely discouraged by the new rules around public comments put in place after out-of-control mask debates, shouted their complaints throughout the meeting. At one point, a commentor compared the OCPS system to the Third Reich.

"Is this Nazi Germany? Is this the Holocaust? Of course not. This is looking out for each other. This is what we do in this country. This is what makes us great,” OCPS School Board Chair Teresa Jacobs responded.

Four people were escorted out of the meeting by police, according to a report from WESH. The employee in question was ultimately fired.
