The former First Lady will be in Orlando this week for a speaking engagement at the Orange County Convention Center.

Michelle Obama will be the keynote speaker at the 2017 Conference on Architecture organized by the American Institute of Architects on Thursday at 12:50 pm.

AIA has booked Mrs. Obama to speak about her time as Chicago's assistant commissioner of planning and development, as well as her tenure as the executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, which is a program that assists young leaders to succeed in the political and professional realms.

The convention will showcase the Central Florida area's architecture, art community and innovative technology industry to the visiting public. This event runs from April 27 to 29 and is expected to draw 20,000 pass-holding attendees who registered for the event in advance, according to the AIA.

You can still register for the conference, and student tickets can be purchased for $25.
