After getting thoroughly roasted by teens at a CNN town hall and agreeing to a painfully awkward interview with YouTube star Jake Paul, Florida Senator Marco Rubio knows he needs a win, and what better way to rise from the pit of despair than a bill advocating for more daylight across the whole damn country?

Last week Florida passed legislation to keep the state on Daylight Saving Time year-round, but in order for this to actually happen, Congress needs to change the federal law.
So today, Rubio is planning on filing not only the "Sunshine State Act," to keep Florida always sunny, but also the "Sunshine Protection Act," which affects all of the U.S, reports the Associated Press. Rubio argues that keeping the whole country on DST would help the economy.

If you're curious on what this means, we weighed all the pros and cons of eternal Daylight Saving Time here.
