Jimmy Buffett, famous for day-drunk anthems such as "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise," is set to launch his Coral Reefer cannabis brand at the Surterra Wellness Center in Orlando on Friday.
Coral Reefer offers cannabis products and "lifestyle merchandise," including vaporizer formula, a rechargeable vaporizer device and pods, plus disposable pens, hats and T-shirts, all of which will be distributed at Surterra Wellness Centers
"It never dawned on me that Coral Reefer would be anything other than a cool name for a tropical band born out of the Key West lifestyle in the mid-'70s," Buffett says in a news release. "But life is supposed to be about having fun and staying healthy enough to enjoy it."
Buffett adds: "I think Coral Reefer will help a lot of folks do that."
As one might imagine, the celebration will be tropical-themed, according to a press release for the event, where guests are invited to partake in …learning
about the health benefits of cannabis-based products.
"Launching Coral Reefer marks another exciting and transformative milestone for Surterra Wellness in a period of rapid growth," says Surterra chairman and CEO William Wrigley Jr. "The Coral Reefer brand reflects our intention to give consumers access to high-quality wellness and cannabis-based products through best-in-class partnerships with people and organizations that reflect our standards and values."
In the coming months, Coral Reefer also expects to extend its product line to include edibles, topicals, pre-rolled joints and other CBD products.
The launch party kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday, April 19. Surterra Wellness Center is located at 1743 S. Orange Ave.
