Back in 2001, Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings was in theaters, Björk wore a swan dress, and the construction of the Majesty Building (aka the I-4 Eyesore) began.

Now, 16 years later, SuperChannel 55 President Claud Bowers says the exterior of his company's 18-story building will be completed by Jan. 23, reports WJAX.

Lol. Sure.

"At this point, we’re just focused on finishing this building as fast as we can," said Bowers to the station. Bowers says once the exterior is finished, crews can focus on the interior, which he says will take six months.

For the unfamiliar, the self-funded project by Bowers' Christian television station received a settlement from the state for land use during the I-4 expansion, and is expected to receive another $20 million from the Federal Communications Commission.

Every year Bowers says his giant shell of a building will be completed within a year. So, perhaps we should just give him another 16 years for the interior to be completed just in case.
