Hurricane Irma caused more sewage spills in Seminole County than anywhere else in Central Florida

In many ways, Hurricane Irma was a literal shit storm, and some places were shittier than others.

During and after the hurricane, Seminole County led all other Central Florida counties in reported sewage spills with 122, says WMFE. Orange County wasn't too far behind, with a total of 103 sewage accidents.

One of the more memorable Orange County spills was the 15,000-plus gallons of poop water that poured into Lake Formosa after a lift station near the Gallery at Mills Park apartment complex failed.

But Central Florida wasn't alone – Miami really got it the worst, especially when Irma sent 6 million gallons of sewage into Biscayne Bay.
