Mike Miller, a Representative for District 47, recently sent a letter to President Donald Trump urging him to invite UCF to the White House under the notion that the undefeated Knights are the rightful national champions.
Miller shared a copy of the letter in a tweet, which goes on to cite factors like Hurricane Irma, going undefeated without a bye week and beating Auburn in the Peach Bowl.
. @realDonaldTrump The @UCFKnights are the only undefeated team ⚡️13-0 in college football’s Division 1 Football 🏈 The odds @UCF_Football overcame to reach college football ⚔️PERFECTION are unprecedented. #FloridaPolitics #PeachPerfect🍑 #REALNationalChampions pic.twitter.com/IMyXftfw3N

Miller isn't the only Florida politician trying to hop on the UCF bandwagon with Rick Scott sending out his own letter in favor of a national championship for the Knights. Scott proclaimed in his letter that UCF will be recognized as the best football team in Florida for the season. "By having a perfect season and beating the only team that defeated both Alabama and Georgia this season, the UCF Knights are clearly champions," said Scott.
Miller is running for US Congress District 7.
