A 29-year-old Florida man looking to score some weed was arrested after he accidentally dialed the captain of the Martin County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit.
According to the
Washington Post, William Lamberson, a Port St. Lucie, Florida, resident and guy who just really wanted to mellow out, thought he was chatting with friends for a "hook-up" last month, but unfortunately he was texting Capt. Brian Bergen.
Things got exceptionally bad when Capt. Bergen asked to purchase cocaine from Lamberson, reports
WBPF.
“Whassup. Chillin here,” said Capt. Bergen in the text conversation that followed. “You got any hooks for sum blow,” asked Capt. Bergen. “I actually do man,” said Lamberson, who then replied. “Lol.”
Most of the text conversation is posted on the Martin County Sheriff’s Facebook page in a post titled, "
WHEN TEXTING GOES WRONG."

The two eventually agreed to meet at a pool hall in Jensen Beach. However, when Lamberson arrived, he met a squad of narcotics officers.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Department, Lamberson– who now faces one count of controlled substance with intent to sell– was extremely confused by the whole ordeal, and was asking where his buddy was.
