Review - Split EP

Artist: The Six Parts Seven/The Black Keys

This release is about as insubstantial as they get. Four songs by two Ohio bands -- one lovely six-minute rumbling from The Six Parts Seven and three brief blues smacks from The Black Keys -- don't even take up enough space on the CD to warrant a full silver disc (half of it is transparent plastic). Further adding to the rip-off factor, the three Black Keys cuts -- "In The Moon," "Thickfreakness" and "Yearnin'" -- are just live-on-the-radio versions of previously released songs. It's nice and all, but save your pennies.
