This double-disc set fuses (sorry) the "Buddha Bar" aesthetic with that of the progressive house DJ set by presenting an upbeat disc and a laid-back one, in the same way that Claude Challe would deliver a disc of dinner tracks and a disc of dancing tracks on the "Buddha Bar" collections. Of course, D:Fuse is no Claude Challe, and "People_2" is certainly devoid of any fancy-pants Orientalism or unnecessary ambience. The "People_Chilling" disc is wrapped around progressive downtempo electro by Joy, Spiritchaser and Kaskade, while the second disc ("People_Clubbing") with tracks from Liam Kennedy, Runner and a handful of D:Fuse debuts hits much harder. Though switching from downtempo electro to uptempo electro isn't exactly a stunning example of diversity, D:Fuse still manages an interesting collection.
