DJ Assault says a lot of bad, misogynistic things like "Ride it, bitch." But let's assume that most people are smart enough to realize that a man who writes songs called "Ass-N-Titties," with lyrics like, "ass, ass, ass, ass, ass and titties / titties, titties, titties, titties, titties, titties," has comedic intentions -- not political or philosophical ones.

DJ Assault makes repetitive, catchy dance tracks that incorporate the Miami bass sound with the techno flavor of his hometown of Detroit. And then he says the raunchiest, most absurd things over them ("I like them girls with the G-strings on/ you don't see no panty lines"). As pure ass-shaking entertainment, "Jefferson Ave." is a wonderful album. Is it supposed to be anything else?
