As the Gas Station Dogs once famously warbled, "Rock n' roll dream'll come through." And that's more and more the case with hardworking local indie band the Pauses, who are on a roll since the release of their latest album Unbuilding last year. The trio have just been tapped to open several dates of their heroes' Jawbox on the DC band's triumphant reunion tour this summer!

Along with a rotating cast of worthies ‘including No Knife, Craig Wedren (of Shudder to Think), and Velveteen, the Pauses will be part of history as ’90s alternative rock cult figures Jawbox reconvene for 17 shows around the U.S., culminating with their headline spot at Gainesville's Fest. Frontman J. Robbins of Jawbox and the Pauses have deep ties; indeed he produced their last album at his studio in Washington, D.C.

The Pauses open for Jawbox in Washington D.C. at the 9:30 Club on Saturday, June 29; in Dallas at Trees on Friday, July 19; in Austin, TX, at the Mohawk on Saturday, July 20; and in Chicago at the Metro on Sunday, July 21.
