Chockful of thrash riffs, double-bass madness and gasoline vocals, One offers what a standout metal album should – no-frills thrash with a wallop. The album never lets up, going for the jugular right from first track "Repentagram," with its hardcore stylings and Slayer-influenced guitar licks. Offerings like "Perfection and the Infection" induce sensory overload for the faint-of-heart who aren't used to getting so much iron from one metal meal. Then again, who are we kidding? The entire album does just that. It may be the Indianapolis thrash act's debut, but One is the sign of a band that has greater things in store.
