Mike Dunn, the king of new drinking? Local artist pairs up with Redlight to release his own brew

It's appropriate that we just put out our Drink issue and this week's music feature sees Jenny Lewis talking about her new red wine collaboration, and now to add a dash of local season to the artist-alcohol mix, local musician Mike Dunn just announced he got together with Redlight Redlight to brew his own beer. It's called Bock n Roll, and mugs of it will be cheers-ed at Redlight Redlight on Sunday, May 24, when Dunn simultaneously debuts the beer with his new album, Hard Luck Soft Rock. (RSVP!)

One request for Dunn - who should be used to requests due to his stints as a living jukebox - can you please nod to Michael Nesmith and publish the recipe on the back of the album? His cheery home brew note on the back of Tantamount to Treason Vol. 1 always struck me as a special touch:

We caught Mike Dunn at Will's Pub recently (April 11) and heard some of the new material, which piqued our interest for sure. The release date is a few weeks off, so for now, we'll just stay thirsty for more songs and more suds.
