In recent years, this Atlanta guitar slinger has been busy as the right-hand gun of the one and only J.D. Wilkes in excellent bands like the Legendary Shack Shakers and the Dirt Daubers. On his own, Hamdallah doesn’t have much recorded work out there – just a 2014 debut EP and a 2016 7-inch – but it’s solid material. He’s got a garage-built sound cranked with blues, rock and punk, a rocket fired straight out from the underside of the American roots. It’s no wonder the Colonel enlisted him in the first place, and this is the chance to see Hamdallah step into the spotlight as his own man. It’ll also be the sendoff for hometown rock & roll heroes the Woolly Bushmen before they conquer the West Coast, so go wish them well.
