From this point forward, whenever you hear a profound Pitbull verse like, "Your man just left / I’m the plumber tonight / Let me check your pipes / Oh, you’re the healthy type,” you'll think of the Sunshine State– at least that's what Visit Florida is hoping.

On Tuesday, the Miami-based rapper and Doral College alum, known for lyrics like "Mami got an ass like a donkey with a monkey / Look like King Kong,” was consecrated as the official tourism ambassador to Florida.

"Pitbull is certainly ‘Mr. Worldwide,’ but he’s also a native Floridian with a true passion for the Sunshine State,” said Paul Phipps, chief marketing officer for Visit Florida and apparent fan of lyrics like, "Honey got me swishin’ like a dreadlock / She don’t wrestle, but I got her in a headlock / Yabba dabba doo, make her bed rock.”

Whatever your feelings are on the rapper, it makes sense why Visit Florida chose Pitbull for the task, his YouTube videos have more than 6 billion views, he's had various No. 1 hits in over 15 countries and he lives here.

As tourism ambassador, Pitbull's list of royal duties will include: filming his upcoming video for his single "Sexy Beaches" on an actual Florida beach, using the hashtag #LoveFL on all his video screens at concerts, promoting Visit Florida during his New Year's Eve concert on Fox, and participating in a weeklong spot on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show on iHeart Radio.

Phipps went on to say, “Aligning our two brands not only allows us to have a Florida ambassador who can help tell the authentic story of the state’s diverse travel experiences, but provides us a platform to reach a new generation of travelers through his global fan base.”

"I came, I saw, I conquered / Or should I say, I saw I conquered, I came." - Pitbull
