Central Florida Metal Fest showcases the finest in local heavy music this weekend

In terms of both touring acts stopping through and depth of field in the local scene (and sub-scenes), the Central Florida metal movement is in a place of rude health. And coming on the heels of the recent Central Florida Black and Death Metal Attack, the two-day Central Florida Metal Fest is as good and loud a brief on the scene as any, boasting 18 local acts crammed into the Haven on Friday and Saturday night. More recognizable names include Demonfuck and buzzy mainstays Meka Nism. Expect a packed program of death, thrash, speed and metalcore. Bring earplugs.
