Building on the success of last year's event, the local music collective AMF are going full speed ahead on their Accidental Music Festival Marathon. It's a daylong free mini-festival dedicated to showcasing the best in avant-garde, new classical and electronic performers in Orlando (and with a smattering of like-minded out-of-towners) performing continuous, short sets amidst other educational (and not) activities.
This year's lineup in full: Valhalla Quartet, Opera Orlando, nullstate, UCF Percussion Ensemble, Yen-Yaw, Alterity Woodwind Quintet, Elizabeth Baker, Continuum Quartet, dbDuo, Luis Guerrero, Belt & Ramirez, blacksunblackmoon(!!), Lush Agave, Helena, Hippocrene Saxophone Quartet, Moloko Plus, Thomas Milovac Colossal Unit, Ensemble AMF. All performers play 30-minute (or less) sets.
This year's Accidental Music Festival Marathon takes place from 1-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at 80 W. Grant St., Suite 11, in SODO. Child-friendly activities are included. No cover.
