Bits of unaccounted-for broken glass have caused Publix to recall some of its deli artichoke and spinach dip.

According to a statement released Monday, May 8, 16-ounce packages of store-brand refrigerated Publix Artichoke & Spinach dip that were sold in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee may contain fragments of glass.

"We were made aware of potentially impacted products through customer complaints," says Maria Brous, Publix media and community relations director.

All products bearing the Universal Product Code of 000-41415-15961 and a "Use by" date of May 16A1 and May 16C1 should be returned to any Publix store. For more information, call Publix's Customer Care at 1-800-242-1227 or visit publix.com.
