Winter Park's Swine & Sons moving into the Local Butcher and Market


Swine & Sons
, the Winter Park sandwich shop specializing in Southern-inspired fare, charcuterie and all things meaty, is moving.

After partnering up with James & Julie Petrakis (Ravenous Pig, Cask & Larder, The Polite Pig) to open Swine & Sons in April of 2015, husband-and-wife team Rhys and Alexia Gawlak purchased the brand from the Petrakises and will move just down the road into the Local Butcher & Market on 669 N. Orange Ave.

Soft opening date is March 2.

Swine & Sons will continue to serve their butcher sandwiches, charcuterie boards and breakfast items, but "exciting menu changes" are in the works.

Swine & Sons will join Da Kine Poke inside the full-service butcher and retail shop.

"We are beyond excited to partner with Alexia and Rhys," says Kevin O’Donnell, co-owner of the Local Butcher and Market, in a release.

"Adding the Swine & Sons team to our existing offerings makes for an exceptional guest experience."

As far as the old Swine & Sons space is concerned, an Orlando outpost of Thomas Keller's Per Se will move in.

Just kidding. It'll be a dentist.
