Now that's a weenie.

Everybody's favorite anti-cruelty society, PETA, put their clothes back on long enough to announce that they'd ranked the Top Five Vegan Hot Dogs in America — and Orlando's own Vegan Hot Dog Cart came in at No. 1! That's right, VHDC serves the best vegan dog in America.

"PETA has long known that meat hot dogs come with a slew of unsavory ingredients, including dangerous carcinogens, heart-stopping cholesterol and saturated animal fats, glass shards, rodent parts, and a lot of cruelty," says PETA's PR flack. "That's why the group set out to find the Top Five Vegan Hot Dogs in America in the run-up to the Fourth of July, and the Holiday Dog – complete with fried sweet onions, homemade cranberry sauce, Carolina mustard barbecue sauce, and parsley – from The Vegan Hot Dog Cart in Orlando is the top dog in the nation."

Rounding out the top five are the Rockaway Beach at Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace in Columbus, Ohio; the Patt Morrison Baja Vegan Dog at Pink's, Los Angeles; the Vegan House Special at Dreamy Weenies in New Orleans; and the Soy Veggie Dog at Mustard's Last Stand in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.

Big congrats! Now you can feel some hometown pride as you scarf down a dog at the end of a downtown night of drinking. WE'RE! NUMBER! ONE!

Wrong "holiday dog."
