One of the nation's top restaurants is coming to Longwood

If you place any credence in the oft-benighted opinions of unqualified users on crowd-sourced sites, Longwood is about to get one of the finest eateries in all the land.

To be fair, Tampa's AJ's Press has dazzled many journos and food scribes as well with their pressed sandwiches, so it's hard to overlook the fact that the eatery is the fourth highest-ranked restaurant in the U.S. of A. according to Yelp!

The sandwich joint will makes its way into the Train Depot Shoppes near the intersection of State Road 434 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Longwood "in early August," according to owner Andy Hesman.

Greg and Jill Lynn, the husband-and-wife team who run AJ's in Tampa, will provide the recipes and culinary expertise, along with the name (the "A" in "AJ's" comes from Greg's actual first name, Andrew, and the "J" from wife Jill).

AJ's Press Longwood will open in the space previously occupied by Carrie's Bistro and Zorba's Greek Taverna, will seat 27 guests, and will offer an identical menu to the Tampa original, with some pricing tweaks.

Hesman and Greg Lynn have known each other for nearly three decades and bring a wealth of restaurant industry knowledge to the venture, and both fully expect the general consensus among Orlandoans to mirror that of Bay Area Yelpers.

And the country.
