New fall flavors at the IKEA Orlando cafe

Let's talk about the real reason we all go to IKEA: the food. Hello $1 ice cream, $3 dinners and 99-cent breakfasts on weekdays. Yeah, you can go spend $40 at brunch, we'll just be here downing our eggs, turkey sausage and breakfast potatoes that cost a whole hundred pennies. Have a great weekend; I'mma go buy a bed now with the $39 I just saved.

There are a couple of new dishes at the cafe that will go nicely with this massive, record-breaking fall heat wave we're dealing with, too, including a vegetarian chili that will just about knock your socks off. The quinoa sweet potato chili with black beans is saucy AF and pairs perfectly with some nutty brown rice to soak up all that gravy. (Yes, please!) Bigger appetites can add 10 "veggie balls" (they're made mostly from broccoli, red bell pepper and spinach, among other plants, and they taste like it – no TVP here) for a whopping $4.49.

Chicken with mushroom sauce is also making its IKEA Cafe debut, and the antibiotic-free chicken breast is just about smothered in a mushroom gravy we'd like to pour on pretty much anything this holiday season. Just thinking about it drizzled over bundt-pan stuffing is giving us a culinary boner, to borrow a phrase from Season 4 of Top Chef (vintage!).
