Pie, jam, cupcakes, bar cookies, cobbler, ice pops — it's the time of year to make all the blueberry things, and there are several places around town where the blueberries are ripe for the picking.
This year's harvest is a little late in coming since the unseasonably cool snap we had a few weeks ago delayed the ripening process. But most of these places are starting to open this week, so get ready to put in some vine time and pluck those sweet gems off the bushes just in time for a bunch of blueberry treats. It's best to check the farms' Facebook pages (or give them a call) the day before you plan to go pick, just to make sure they'll be open when you get there.
