Herman's Loan Office, the speakeasy-style lounge located in that little back alley between Church and Pine, will serve its last Old Fashioned at the end of the year.

Herman's parent company, the V Group, made the announcement today in a newsletter that they will close the craft cocktail lounge after only two years in operation.

The V Group also stated that they will shutter the Oak Room and Native, both of which are in the same building as Herman's. As of Jan. 1, all three bars will be closed.

The company did not specify why the bars are closing, or what will be going into that building, but they did say something is in fact coming soon.

"As the saying goes, when one door closes another one opens ... We can't say too much right now but rest assured we already have our newest venue secured and it is poised to be our most novel concept yet," read a statement.

The V Group also owns Bauhaus, Hanson's Shoe Repair, Gitto's Pizza, Side Bar, Vyce and Vintage.
