The UCF Knights are off to an 0-4 start, and apparently the only way out of this slump, specifically for bars desperate for football fans, is bottomless beer.
The Basement is currently running a "Free beer until UCF wins" promotion during all UCF games. That's right, from kickoff to whistle, FREE BEER!
So far this season UCF has lost to Florida International, Stanford, Furman and South Carolina and the losing streak isn't helping sales.
Jake Whitacre, the bar's marketing director, told ESPN (Yep, this made it to Sports Center) that the angle for this promotion, financially speaking, is to have the crowd pay for premium booze and grub while cheering on the Knights.
UCF will play 1-2 Tulane this Saturday at noon.
