Red Mug Diner, in the old Golden Knife space, is "currently hiring and training for a mid-April" opening, according to their marketing director. We're seriously looking forward, not just because the Weekly offices are thisclose, but because finding food after midnight can be a challenge in Orlando.

Also enticing: Chef Mark Dollard, formerly of Absinthe Bistro, is heading up the kitchen. Red mug will offer breakfast 24-7, with dishes like hash and eggs, brioche French toast and shakshuka, alongside diner-fare classics like meatloaf, pot pie and my personal blue-plate favorite, an open-faced roast beef sandwich.

Follow Red Mug on Facebook to track their progress.
