Zephyr in the sky: LeVar Burton scheduled to talk about storytelling at Rollins in November

Our favorite living Chief Engineer of the Enterprise and leading authority on animated butterflies is coming to Rollins College on Thursday, Nov. 5, as part of the Winter Park Institute's guest lecture series. The prolific star, most recognizable as Kunta Kinte from Roots, Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation and the host of beloved children's program Reading Rainbow, gives a talk about his life story, including his life-changing experiences with Rollins' own most neighborly alumni, Fred Rogers.

Recently, Burton has helped retool Reading Rainbow into a popular app that lets kids access more than 500 children's books, instilling a love of reading in a new generation.
