Universal's Halloween Horror Nights kicks off today

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando is back this Friday, Sept. 15.

Running through Nov. 4, the 27th annual scarefest will feature nine haunted houses, five scare zones on the road and walkways, and two live shows.

In keeping with tradition, this year's Halloween Horror Nights will include a few memorable faces and worlds from horror franchises past. Expect to see the likes of The Shining, Saw, American Horror Story and Ash Vs. Evil Dead in the haunted houses, and a Purge-themed scare zone on the streets.

The scariest thing about this year's Horror Nights? It'll be the last year you can catch Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure, making its farewell tour after 26 years of production.

Tickets start at $59.99, and as always, no costumes or masks are permitted.
