Guests will be able to buy sheets of dried seaweed and attach it to feeding poles they can lower into a tank of blue tangs and other surgeonfish.
As the fish swarm to eat the seaweed, a hydrophone and submerged camera allow guests to hear the fish as they're eating and see the action from new perspectives.
"At Feeding Frenzy, guests will get even closer to the sea life than ever before," James Paulding, the aquarium's general manager, says in a statement. "The excitement surrounds guests as they feed, see and hear the frenzy of colorful fish munching at the nori. And the unique, split-view photo captures a truly unforgettable memory."
Admission tickets for the aquarium are $28 to the general public and $23 for Florida residents.
