Rooney Mara is our 'Girl.' IMDB says she's way over.

And not a moment too soon. With shooting on the David Fincher American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo set to begin next month, Fincher has finally found his titular girl in 25-year-old Rooney Mara. And just to prove that Internet analytics mean absolutely jack when it comes to anything vaguely real-time, here's a snapshot for Ms. Mara to frame, a portrait of the world in 2010 that will serve as an invaluable reminder for her not to believe everything you read.

Yep, according to IMDB's infallible STARmeter, whatever that is, the actress' popularity is WAY DOWN on the day it was announced she landed the role of a lifetime. Cherish that, Rooney.

Also: Daniel Craig is Nyqvist. As if the Hollywood Gods (read: Scott Rudin) would have allowed him not to. By the way, he's down 15% on this STARmeter today. (Hey, I think that might be my "thing." You know, like how awful, lazy, cinematically illiterate film critics obsess over Rotten Tomatoes! "STARmeter sez: I hate this film. Corporate-mandated daily blog entry: complete!")
