Over a mile of orange-themed floats will invade downtown Orlando for the Florida Citrus Parade this weekend

Break out the honey nougat glacé because it’s parade time in Orlando – we’re about to celebrate a local icon! Wait, what? We don’t have a honey nougat glacé float on hand? None of you know what glacé means? Oh well, I guess we’ll have to do with our regular degular schmegular Florida Citrus Parade. This annual holiday parade includes more than a mile of floats decorated with thousands of oranges, grapefruits, tangelos and other citrus, along with high school and college marching bands from around the country. Get some orange juice to wash down that glacé (if you manage to find any).

Saturday, Dec. 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Downtown Orlando, starting at Orange Avenue and Robinson Street | 407-423- 2476 |  floridacitrusparade.com | free; grandstand tickets $28
